2023-12-02 saturday with santa - kcos provided new clothing & toys to 90 children

On Saturday December 2, 2023, the KCOS held its annual clothing event for underprivileged children. The format of the event has changed over the more than 50 years that it has been a club project. It originally was held in Greene's Dept. Store in downtown Stuart, then at several WalMart locations, & most recently at Beall's on Cove Road. With Covid-19 the format changed so that now we obtain kids names & clothes sizes from school personnel. Kiwanians shop for the clothes & toys for kids and give them to the kids at the event. Santa is present and photos with Santa are given to the kids. The kids & their families get a free lunch and are allowed to explore a City fire truck. They can participate in activities and are provided with free books.
