1992-03 kiwanis park - the old red cross building was removed from kiwanis park
The Kiwanis Park was the site of an old building that had been used at Camp Murphy in Jonathan Dickerson State Park during WWII. The City leased the building to the Red Cross for $1 per year for many years. The Red Cross was in the process of developing a new building site on Colorado Avenue although they were still working out of the old building when development of Kiwanis Park started. Once the Red Cross moved out the old building was moved. Ivan Munroe photos.
