In order to carry out all projects that our club is involved with throughout the year, each member is asked to join one or more committees. If you are interested in helping with any of the committees below, please reach out to the Chair of the committee, or any club member!

The Board serves as the administrators of both the Club and the Foundation corporations.

Bob Burson

Club Historian


Preserves the history of the club by restoring, digitalizing, and maintaining old and new club records, news stories, and photos

Club - Care & Concern


Provides care and concern to club members and to friends of the KCOS.

Club - Finance


Review current and upcoming Financials for both Admin and Foundations Accounts.

Club - Information Technology (IT)


Manages website and FaceBook site for the club.

Club - Installation Dinner


Responsible for the planning and implementation of the annual installation dinner.

Club - Membership


Directs the membership growth program of the club and provides instructions to new members.

Obtains speakers for the weekly club meetings.

Fundraising - Ornaments of Martin County


Designs and supervises the sales of the club's annual ornament.

Fundraising/Service - Bricks in the Park


Responsible for the sale and installation of memorial bricks in Kiwanis Park at Woodlawn.

Fundraising/Service - Pancakes & Reading In The Park


Plans and coordinates the Club's annual pancake breakfast. The event has a theme each year which for the March 3, 2018 breakfast will be Dr. Seuss and reading.

Service - Kiwanis Park at Woodlawn


Manages, in coordination with the City of Stuart, the Club's interest in the Kiwanis Park at Woodlawn located in downtown Stuart, FL.

Service - Christmas Shopping


Plans, coordinates, and implements the Club's annual clothes shopping trip for approximately 60 underprivileged children. 2014: December 13, Saturday 7:30-9:00 AM 2017: December Bealls Department Store 5803 SE Federal Hwy Stuart, FL 34997

Service - Back To School Clothing and Supplies


The third annual back to school clothing and supplies event will be held in early August 2018. The KCOS will provide back to school clothing and supplies to children. The items will be given to the children at a hot dog get together at Kiwanis Park.

Service - Little Free Libraries


Manages the construction and installation of 4 Little Free Libraries in Kiwanis Park at Woodlawn. Also manages the routine placement of books in the libraries.

Service - Reading In The Park


Members of the KCOS read to children in Kiwanis Park at Woodlawn.

Service - Scholarship Investment Committee


Determines investment decisions for the Bob Whitty Memorial Scholarship.

Service - Scholarship Recipient Selection Committee


Determines the annual recipients of the Bob Whitty Memorial Scholarship.

Service - SLP - AKtion Club of Martin County


Coordinates the operation of the AKtion Club of Martin County with their meetings, fundraising, and service projects. The Aktion Club has as it's members people who are mentally challenged and gives it's members opportunities to learn leadership and to provide service to the community.

Service - SLP - Builder's Club of Hidden Oaks Middle School


Coordinates the operation of the Hidden Oaks Middle School Builder's Club with their meetings, fundraising, and service projects.

Service - SLP - Key Club of South Fork High School


Coordinates the operation of the Key Club of South Fork High School with their meetings, fundraising, and service projects.

Service - SLP - K-Kids of Crystal Lake Elementary


Coordinates the operation of the Crystal Lake Elementary School K-Kids Club with their meetings, fundraising, and service projects.

Service - SLP - K-Kids of Palm City Elementary


Coordinates the operation of the Palm City Elementary School K-Kids Club with their meetings, fundraising, and service projects.

Service - Young Children Priority One


Service to benefit children age 5 and younger.

Service/Club - Martin County Fair


Responsible for the Club's booth at the annual Martin County Fair.

Service/Club - Spiritual Aims


Provides prayer at Weekly club meetings. Provides Bibles to inmates.
