Margaret E. "Peggy" Wood is a Florida transplant. After graduating with a B.S. and B.A. from the University of Maryland-College Park, she obtained her J.D. from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. She moved to Florida in 2005 to clerk for the Honorable Carole Y. Taylor, Fourth District Court of Appeal. After working as an associate attorney for a boutique law firm in West Palm Beach, Peggy accepted a position with the local law firm McCarthy Summers Bobko Wood Norman Bass & Taylor, P.A., where she is a member of the Estate Department.

Peggy, her husband Michael, and their three cats (Olivia, Fiona, and Pip), live in Palm City. Michael is a mechanic at the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant.

Peggy is delighted to join the Kiwanis Club of Stuart. As a ninth grader, Peggy joined the Towson High School Key Club with no ambitions to take on a leadership role. One year later, as a Sophomore, Peggy was elected Treasurer of the Capital District (Maryland-Virginia-Delaware-D.C.) and, in her Senior year, served as District Governor. As the manager of some 200 Key Club chapters and 10,000 Key Club members across three states and the District of Columbia, Peggy developed leadership, management, and organization skills. She credits Key Club with giving her the confidence to take on challenges, which she carries with her today!
