MARTIN COUNTY COMMUNITY POOL AT MC HIGH SCHOOL

In the early 1970's Martin County did not have a community public swimming pool.  It had one high school, Martin County High School.  Members of the KCOS decided that the community needed a public swimming pool.   They obtained consent and approval of the appropriate governmental bodies and set out to raise $100,000 in funds required for pool construction.   The pool was built at the Martin County High School on SR 76 and was decicated in 1975.   It is still used on a daily basis today.
